Strawberry Shrikhand

Valentine's Day is incomplete without something red or pink is what the commercial world says. So I thought of adding something pink as my next post.

I hardly believe in celebrating Valentine's Day as the only day of expressing love. But when I decided to post strawberry shrikhand and saw that the Valentine's Day is around the corner, I thought of tagging this post as Vday special just in case my readers were interested in celebrating it and we're looking for recipes to make their day special. So here it it

Mango Shrikhand

The only cousin who had got her vacations falling during the same time of the year as ours was Anu. On one such vacation, she always used to keep mentioning about Shrikhand and how much she loved it. Now I had no clue about it. And then I saw the advertisement of Amul Shrikhand, which otherwise had never seemed to have got attention from my end earlier. Somehow I never had Shrikhand made by Amul but yes other local companies. I have loved it ever since.

Summer can't be said goodbye without having eaten enough mangoes, simply diced or as Mango Shake or in any other form. When I mentioned about making Shrikhand, Jacob wasn't anxious about it even though he has never had it before. But when Jordan turned 4 months, I wanted to make something. Not big, but something simple yet special. Hence, this post happened. So when Jacob came back from work , I gave his share to him(I couldn't wait untill he was back, so ate as soon as it was ready :)) and he didn't even bother to ask me if I needed it (usually he does ask) but scrapped off every bit of it. So its gonna be made more frequent on the coming weeks before the mangoes disappear from the market.
