Thai Yellow Fish Curry

Being from the south, coconut is one ingredient that we tend to add in most of our dishes. While trying different cuisine, we have felt that, thai dishes have a very close resemblance to the dishes that we make every other day and also is being appreciated by our taste buds. This thai curry is just the perfect dish to make on a busy weekday when you might want to just spend the least time in the kitchen but would be craving to want a restaurant style dinner.

It may sound impossible but this curry is so simple to put together that, in just 30 minutes, you would have made the most amazing dinner for your family which would taste so delicious that it may look like as if you slogged in the kitchen to put it together and who wouldn't love to be appreciated for the end result where you would've just put in the least effort :P. So here's the recipe that I follow to have a easy peasy thai curry.

Tuna Thoran

I have been meaning to try this recipe for a long time. I had got the canned tuna and had been sitting in my store for so long. But since the expiry of these canned tuna is long I kept on procrastinating. Every time I procrastinate, it makes me think of one of our professors back in college. Every time someone would delay in submission of assignments or projects he would be like "What were you doing? Sitting on it and hatching eggs?" :P It used to be so hilarious but that atmosphere wouldn't be the right one to just laugh our lungs out right, because the professor might have been actually scolding someone. Anyways, this recipe has been pending for so long that I finally thought of trying it. And guess what, I always have canned tuna fish handy these days, in case I might want some non-veg side to prepare in just matter of minutes.

This recipe is from Nisha's blog. The very look of the picture on her blog made me tempt and wanted to try it. It is a slightly tweaked version of how my family likes it. Trust me you got to try it to enjoy what you have been missing.

Fish Curry with Raw Mango / Meen Curry Manga Ittathu

Finding this curry for lunch , when getting back from school was a pure joy. It was a pain to make me eat rice. But if there is this fish curry in the menu, I would be so glad to dig into rice. I loved it. I had been looking forward to trying different fish curries, but every time I start preparing, I realize that I don't have raw mangoes in stock and I end up making the usual Pulli itta meen curry

This time, I bought the raw mangoes specifically to make this curry. I would have forgotten to buy the mangoes, but my foodie companion Jacob reminded me. Well he have been tempted many a times by reminding about this curry, that he just didn't want me coming up with the excuse of having forgotten to get raw mangoes again. :P
