This time when we were home, my MIL made this drink quite often. The raw mangoes were in season and whenever she would ask if anyone wanted the drink, which never had the answer as NO, she would go out pluck a mango from the tree and make it for us. It was delicious and so filling. She infact asked me to post this recipe on my blog for my readers to enjoy.
MIL had seen this recipe in the TV in some reality show. She tried it at home and was a big hit. My lil one also would put down the glass only when the last drop was also dripped into his mouth and only to ask for more juice.
So now that raw mangoes are in season and before they vanish off for another year, try this drink. You won't be disappointed. They are just so amazing a drink for this season. Puts a full stop to thirst as well as hunger because its that filling with all the mango pulp in it.

Ingredients
- 1 big raw mango, skin peeled and cut into small and thin slices
- 7-8 tbsps of sugar
- Seeds from 1 cardamom
- 1/2 tsp of grated ginger
- 5-6 mint leaves
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 5-6 glasses of chilled drinking water
- Take all the ingredients in a blender. Blend it well to a smooth paste.
- Add 5-6 glasses of water and blend it well.
- Pour it into serving glasses. Garnish it with mint leaves and serve.
- Do not add too much ginger, else it might prick your throat.
- You could choose to strain the juice out of the mango drink. Leaving the pulp unstrained makes the drink thick and filling.
