Tahini dip - perfect dip for falafels, pita bread, crackers etc. It goes well as a spread for chapathis too. Such a humble dip with just minimal ingredients and little effort that goes into it, is a must try.

- 1/2 cup of white sesame seeds
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp + 1 tsp of olive oil
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of thick curd
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of red chilly powder for garnishing
- In a pan, dry roast the sesame seeds on medium heat, untill they are slightly brown and crisp. Do not burn them. Let the sesame seeds cool down.
- Transfer it into a blender bowl. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil and garlic. Blend it into a smooth paste. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
- Now add the thick yogurt, lemon juice and salt. Mix it untill everything gets incorporated well.
- Top it with 1 tsp of olive oil. Sprinkle some red chilly powder for garnishing. Serve it with some hot falafel.
- Be careful to not burn the sesame seeds while roasting, else it would leave a burnt taste to the dip.
- You could sprinkle some sesame seeds as garnishing too.
- I have used coriander leaves for photography purpose only.
